Leticia Gillett
I’m a Brazilian-born artist based in the US who loves a great story and making all kinds of things - especially characters!
I’ve been teaching and working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. As a 3D Character Supervisor, 3D Visdev Artist and Modeler/sculptor, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with studios such as Disney Animation, Disney Consumer Products, Blizzard, DreamWorks, and Netflix. I’ve had a blast working with so many talented people across the industry and seeing all the different ways that wonderful projects get made.
Throughout my career, teaching has always been a huge passion of mine and one that led me to the creation of 3D&Joy. I love sharing my knowledge and creating an environment where things are light and fun (That’s the Joy part hehe). During my classes, I make an effort to ensure that even though things are new, they don’t have to be scary :)
teaching is a form of art in my opinion. The way I see it, if you do it well, you open worlds of possibilities to the students mind, you inspire, you guide with a gentle hand so they can find their own way to the joys of art and self expression.
